Had a weird discharge from my breast today, anyone know what it might be?
@santistevanmommie, is this dangerous for baby? Should I stop breastfeeding on that side?
@anonmomtobe, probably a clog then which is good! You don’t want those staying stuck and causing infection
Watch for fever or a lot of soreness in your breast. You can develop mastitis from clogs
@mrschanandlerbong95, @santistevanmommie, it was thicker than my breast milk, I noticed it while pumping, it was like the consistency of boogers ._. But basically the same color as my breast milk
Are you pregnant? Nursing?
If pregnant you could be leaking colostrum which is totally okay. Nursing it’s totally normal too
@anonmomtobe, no you want to continue nursing on that side. Especially if you have a clog. He can get it out and drink it and be okay. If you catch clogs early enough they won’t cause mastitis. Your baby couldn’t contract it or another sickness from your milk resulting from mastitis
