Seeing all those FB posts about someone touching/kissing newborns and them getting extremely ill or passing is so dang scary and heartbreaking.. I'm due dec 1st and I know my husband will want to take her to his families Christmas parties but I dont want a bunch of people loving on my little girl.. that early at all.. even if it was my families Christmas parties I wouldnt go.. so not worth the risk. I already talked to him about not going and he was mad but sorry not sorry even if they dont touch her everyone's so filled with germs that time of year! I dont want to shelter her I just dont want her going around 40 people while like 2 weeks old.. do I sound like a worry wart or would you mommas not go either? Not that I don't want to I just dont want a sick baby ):

Stand your ground. I made sure anyone that came to see my baby had the tdap shot or they couldn’t visit.

I wouldn't go. We won't be going to any Thanksgiving events for that exact reason, even though it's my favorite. People won't be around her for a little while and when we do introduce her to people it will be in very very small groups with time in between.

I won't be taking our girl out around a bunch of people that early, never feel bad for saying no, always trust your mom instincts

@mswedes that's exactly what I want! They're just soo fragile that small and I really would just rather not take any risks ): it's not worth it): plus theres 2 parties and like 30-40 people at each.. I should have him hear it from a doctor because I'm sure theyd be on the same page as me.. just way too early to be exposed to that many people
