Second trimester genetic screening results came back and everything is negative! Which is a huge relief because we decided that unless the test came back positive we were not going to do an amniocentesis. Honestly the thought scares the crap out of me. So relieved that baby girl is OK and I don't have to stick a freaking needle in my stomach.

I had that same fear but even if my testing had come back positive for anything ,I still would've rejected the amniocentesis. It's just not worth the risk of a miscarriage and ultimately, it wouldn't have mattered if the test came back positive anyway bc it would not have changed our minds on having this baby.

You always have the right as The Patient to say No... amniocentesisis known to cause miscarriages..i refused to do that
