I have an 11 month old daughter, who sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night crying…
I have an 11 month old daughter, who sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night crying hysterically. She literally will be sound asleep and all of a sudden wake up crying and screaming. Nothing calms her down unless we can give her a bottle. She always sleeps thru the night after having her nighttime bottle. So i dont understand what’s wrong. Is she having nightmares?

Most likely she is. My son is currently going thru the same thing. He doesn't stop unless I hold him and rock him back to sleep.

It breaks my heart because it’s almost like she wont wake up and shes just so upset and crying. @dannaaa.xo

@ash101398 yes exactly my son doesn't even open his eyes or anything he just crys and crys and I have to let him know mommy is here and he will hush or else he will just keep crying and crying and eventually wake up. I know what you mean

Its called night terrors, sometimes when they wake up screaming and just stare at something and it creaps me out. I told the doctor and she said to not try to talk or try to wake him up it might scare them, they’re still asleep. So i would just put him back to sleep and he eventually calms down. This happens when kids overplay at night time, and their brains are still have energy. We should limit lighting and tv and other electronics 2 hrs before sleeping.

@zaka851 good to know this. My son sometimes is up late at night may be the reason why he has them.. I talked to him pediatrician she said it was normal and I had to let.him grow out of it 😑
