Everyone please say a prayer for my family 😭🙏🏼 we just got evacuated from our home because we ordered oil today and the oil company never inspected the tank before dumping like they’re supposed to . 200 gallons of oil in my house , yard , dry well. They’re condemning and bulldozing my house in 72 hours 😭
Wow just wow, soo sorry u gotta deal with this 🙏🙏 hope u guys can get into a nice home soon with ur stuff
@kengie, next time we definitely are . My mom has it and pays like 20 bucks a month . So I know its super cheap but I guess we never just thought about it ? But now we’re never renting another house without it . Ever . Thank you!
Allllways have renters insurance!!! It’s cheap and will save your bum! I’m so sorry that happened to you, and honestly your landlord. Slumlord or not, I’m sure this is and was scary and he learned his lesson— just sorry it was on you ☹️ I hope things pick up for the better for you ASAP!
Wow just wow, soo sorry u gotta deal with this 🙏🙏 hope u guys can get into a nice home soon with ur stuff
@mhbb3, it is , they’re the ones who didn’t inspect . But he still should’ve had insurance on the house . I didnt even know you didn’t need it if you’ve paid your mortgage off . I’d always have that lol especially with as much happened to this house . It was always something . He’s taking the oil company to court , but we can take him to court
@briannalynn547 Ohh I honestly didn't know oil was still used like that.
I'm so sorry you are going through this. If he was trying to pull a scam wouldn't he know it wouldn't do any good without insurance? Why isn't it the oil companies fault?
I'm sorry. This sucks. What was the oil for though? 200 gallons to go where? I know its not the same as propane.
@justgotaname, best believe we’re getting it next time
@justgotaname, certain things that were pressed up against the one wall that the oil seeped into bad but not to much . Cheap stuff . And no we did not
Oh, no!! So sorry to hear! Was your stuff damaged? Do you have renters insurance?
@beakymcspence, oh yep he gave that shit back immediately, we’re gonna need to use it for storage and moving trucks . We have so much shit 😭 he was crying cause he knows he’s screwed . He knows we’re gonna come after him. I just had to buy new cages, beds , and everything for my dogs and bring them to my moms . (They haven’t had caged at my house in a while cause it broke and we didn’t see a reason to get more cause they’re good dogs) but that was 300$. To make sure they were set with toys, beds , food , treats and to pay my mom for doing it for me even though she told me to stop and take my money back I’m not like that. My life is gonna be hell. I can’t even explain how sick to my stomach i am. @nomli, and yeah it was . When my MIL said why didn’t you look first they got in their car and said “I’m not dealing with this “ and left lmfao . They’re definitely gonna hear from a lawyer .
Oh no!! I'm so sorry! That is terrible. I'd hope the damn company that didn't do their job is held liable as well! How can they not inspect a tank before filling it? It was above ground, right?
Omg! That's crazy! Hope everything works out for you. :(
What a swamp donkey...and now he’s lost the house it’s worth and the land is useless for at least 3 years. This will teach him. KARMA
@spookylyn, Yep he would be, and return your funds as it’s mid month.
I knew it smelled fishy. I’m so sorry for this happening to you.
@briannalynn547, Exactly! He’s scum. It’s his own loss too because he has no insurance there’s no one to pay or fix this situation, and because it would pose and environmental risk and be condemned unless fixed and properly dealt with...he has no choice but to demolish. If there was insurance it would have been dealt with and properly. What a POS.
@beakymcspence, it’s crazy what some people do for money. And he was making it poor me literally the whole time
@beakymcspence, fucking idiot . He’s always been a scum lord . Always . Never fixes anything . We’ve been trying to leave and find better but it’s hard cause we really just wanna but but that takes time . We were supposed to meet with someone Friday to start the process . The fire department said that he needed to get his home owners insurance on the phone and he said the house hasn’t been insured in 3 years
@briannalynn547, There’s your answer love. He has no insurance to cover what would need to be done to make it legally safe therefor they’d give him no option then to demolish. Sadly he’s dumb because that land will have a period where it must remain vacant due to the contamination. It would be an environmental hazard and with no insurance there’s no one stepping up to payout and take charge of what needs to be done. ASAP find out your rights.
You have every right to the information being provided and need to speak up as your legally the resident. I’d call your local tenancy board ASAP also and find out your rights.
@beakymcspence, lol that’s the best part HE WASNT INSURED SMFH
@briannalynn547, Yeah seems there’s more to it then your being told love because that makes zero sense. I’m going to say your landlord sees dollar signs with an insurance payout.
@beakymcspence, it’s a rental , they’re not talking to us they’re giving him the info . Maybe he’s stretching the truth a bit to play poor me cause he’s not getting any money out of it . The dca or whatever the people are called we’re and are still there inspecting . It went into the dry well and everything
@briannalynn547, What kind of oil was it? They’d not just condemn a house without having professionals inspect it (my husband has worked in the oilfield 15 years) is this a rental home? Especially because there’d be a period the dwelling would have to sit before it could be dozed and it would be longer then 72 hours. There’d be environmentalists in there because of ground contamination...the least of their concerns would be the house. How are you not sure..this is your home?? That’s scary!
@leahkay, no it’s not stupid cause i don’t understand either . I guess because of how bad it seeped into the walls in the downstairs? Well one certain wall. I’m not sure
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do they have to bulldoze your house??
Already bleeding from the sweep... just got the castor oil and orange juice in my system... now we wait 🤞🏾did this method work for any of you ladies?
cats and babies
My so and I haven't been able to have cats for years. Last year we moved into our own house. So says we can have a cat now.
Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

Opinions!! We are putting the house on the market soon and my realtor thinks we need to upgrade to granite. Only problem is, for a kitchen this size, the cheapest quote I got was $3,800. Everyone is telling me not to do it, they don't think there is a good enough ROI. What do you think?
Any moms near me want a free puppy?!
They’re 1 month old so it will be a few more weeks before they’re weaned. We have 7!
They’re super cute!
And free!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do they have to bulldoze your house??
