I love school 😬😬

I hated that school work .. lol only chapters I liked learning was chemical waving

@marielovely, lol. I mean the hands on is all fun to me except the relaxers. Perms are eh okay. Lol. Next semester is coloring and I’m so excited!

@brianne, I love perms that’s my fav lol did you just start? My school was different every week we would do a different thing.. 1st week chemical ,2nd color, 3rd cutting , 4th styling and braid , and then some weeks blow drying .. the hands on was fun to me jst not the book work lol

I’m glad I graduated already lol I finish in aug 2017 but still haven’t got my license 😑 I been slacking

@marielovely, where did you go to school? Yeah I just started. August was the start of my first semester. Final exams are the first week of December and then we’re done till the first or second week of January for spring semester. This semester I have chemical texture services (all the perms/relaxers/etc), haircutting, intro to cosmetology, and hair care and treatment.

@marielovely, oh wow! I know here we only have a year after graduation to take our boards to get licensed.

@brianne, I went to Paul Mitchell the school Phx n where I live there is no limit to how long U take to take ur boards ...

@marielovely, oh that’s cool. Lucky. Lol. I’ll wanna take my boards ASAP while everything is still fresh in my mind. I’ve been told a lot of people don’t do it the state board way.... lol.

I just do my local school. It’s Gwinnett Technical School. It was the only way I could do it without having to do school loans. Pell Grant wouldn’t have been half as much as I needed for empire like I wanted.

I mean like they don’t do certain things the state board way. Like my instructor says if she drops a comb or her shears she just leaves it and grabs another so she doesn’t waste time. But at state board you can’t do that, you’ll get counted off.

Every state board is different for us if we drop something we have to pick it up and put it in the sanitation bag and then grab a fresh clean one lol @brianne,

@marielovely, same for us! But I’ll likely be the person to have extra combs and shears cause picking them up and having to wash/sanitize my hands is just a giant waste of time.

@brianne, truee I wish I wuda took state board a long time ago but wen I wanted to I didn’t have the money 😫 now that I do i need to restudy EVERYTHING

@marielovely, yeah I hope I can do my boards before I walk across the stage. I’ll be done next December and graduation ceremonies are every May.

@brianne, lucky lol my school didnt do big ceremonies they only do little ones at the school in the classroom .. so everyone tht is still a student jst watches that one person tht graduated , walk but only if we wanted to walk.. I didn’t I jst asked them for my certification and tht was it

@marielovely, oh wow. I never got a graduation ceremony for high school. So when I finish this, I’m going all out. Gonna get hair and make up done, get professional pictures, nice class ring, everything. I don’t care if it’s not an actual degree and “just” a cosmetology diploma. I deserve to celebrate my success. 👌🏼

@brianne, yess girl I feel u !! I didn’t have a high school graduation either I graduated from online school that’s why .. but as long as I know I finished n got my diplomas I’m good !! ☺️
