:: It’s official. My Traverse needs a new engine. And my husband just doesn’t have the right setup to do it. So we’re looking at $4-$5k. I honestly feel sick to my stomach. 😞

@queendeeahlease, fuck I’m so upset. We bought this car 2 years ago for $16k cash with 25k miles on it. The previous owner had babied the shut out of it. It currently only has 60k in it and we also baby the shit out of it. Never miss an oil change. Always put the best oil in it. Tire rotations. Car washes. The works. I LOVE my Traverse. We can’t just go get a new car. If it was worth less then the engine going into it, sure. But it’s still worth like $13k but without a working engine we wouldn’t get shit for it. So either way we’d be out money. We’re out less money if we put a new engine in it.

Dang that sucks. I can imagine how frustrated you guys are. An idea, check around for someone who rebuild engines.. Ask for friends of friends 😅 My last truck, I had a buddy rebuild an engine for, I had zero time to. I hope you find a less than insanely costly fix. Storms pass❤️

@mom2squared , I'm using a rental for now. We are currently selling it as is! Bc we are not gonna buy a new engine. & Girl we did the same with ours oil changes & all & still failed us. We had to change the alternator like 3 to 4months ago so I knew something else would pop up😩it's such a headache

@queendeeahlease, oh man yeah if you’ve had other issues, that’s a smart move. This is the first issue we’ve had with our car in the two years we’ve had it. It just happened to be a big one. 😭
