What to do with a very Independant toddler!? So my daughter is very well behaved but has started the tantrum stage early I feel. She gets so upset because she can’t voice what she wants and wants to do things beyond her abilities. I’m glad she is so interested in doing things but it’s hard to get her to understand she can’t. Her new thing is screaming and flailing around when we try to put her in the high chair. I hate to be that parent when we are out to eat (idc if she screams at home lol because she eventually stops) but I’ll be damned if I’m gunna hold her a whole meal.

Have you started sign language at all? And when you go out to eat, have some activities for her. Coloring, books, snacks. She'll start to learn that she can only eat in her chair just be consistent

@kambam, I haven’t tried sign language. I should though. That would be helpful and we take lots of stuff to entertain her. She just isn’t having it. And I haven’t really ever let her eat out of her chair. That’s why I have no clue how or why this started. That’s why I am at a loss of what to do.

Just a normal thing they do 🙃🙃 they dont like being restricted anymore. I dont use a highchair but I know it would go horribly lol

@kambam, gotta love them. I’m glad it’s not just my kid though haha. She is just growing too fast. I’m not ready for her to be a big kid yet. 😭
