@lauren_h, that’s ok hun never feel stupid we all learn as we go along. That’s what this app is for to help and support each other! You managed to get her wind up now? I’d get some infacol it makes it easier hun x
@erincharliebubba thank you sorry i know sound stupid but as first time mum and i tried all positions nothing wud happen yet could see her in pain sorted now x
@lauren_h, watch some YouTube videos so you can see how to do it properly or ask your health visitor to come over to show you how to do it , when they guzzle the milk they get trapped wind and causes pain.
Try some infacol before feeds, try wind her after every ounce until she brings wind up, don’t rush a feed otherwise she’ll be sick hun, then keep her laying slightly upright after for atleast half hour to prevent her being sick xx
Thanks girls just seems whatever i do takes forever and she doesn't settle for like hour or 2 after feed which is frustrating or can be there and nothing put her down and she's sick x
After each feed. I used to stop half way through a feed to wind and then wind again when they’d finished. Just sit her on your knee in a seating position with her back straight, supporting her head with your hand under her chin/ holding her chin/cheeks to keep head up and rub or pat her back. Or you can lay her on her tummy accross your knees and rub or pat her back x
