Married mama’s!!!! Did you get married at a courthouse or did you get to plan and have a wedding with family and friends? Pros & Cons on a courthouse wedding vs “real wedding”?!
@godspromises2018, I mean he’s laying with his daughter I think he’s supposed to be comfortable doing so lol but hey everybody parents differently. Just cuz I’m not with him doesn’t mean anything else changes as far as his relationship with his daughters

We got dressed up but nt like traditional wedding clothes plus I was pregnant so I just wore something that looked good lol
@mama_lex2.0 dont stress love and all the red flags were there when we planned our wedding and ignored it everyone back out after giving there word then my hubs lost his job then a bunch of family RSVP and canceled so make sure you do something to make a beautiful story for you to tell I'm 3 years married already and friends and family say they loved it and other say they with they would have gone and others talk crap
@mama_lex2.0, no problem! It’s fairly cheap to get ordained (can even do it online for like $40 I think!), so then you’d just need to pay for the marriage license, and certificate (once you’re married). Super simple! Glad I could help ☺️ good luck with whatever you guys choose to do!!

What if you guys had someone close to y’all get ordained, and then pick a memorable location for you two (a beautiful view, an establishment, a park,a farm, field etc) and then hold a small ceremony there with just the people you guys wanted? That’d be super cheap, very stress-free, but still gives you guys a personalized wedding!
Both court house with my 1st and annuld then a small wedding in a beautiful all in one hall was a fairytale 10,000 for everything food clothes shoes DJ and decor.... and honestly wish I did something with just me and hubby and 2 bestfriends with our children like vegas or Hawaii would have been same price

We eloped thru the courthouse. He had proposed and everything but the stress of planning out a reception afterwards for family, had stressed him out too much and called it off on our original date. Hubby one day looked at me and asked ‘wanna get married tomorrow’ I said ‘let’s do it’...
Pros: it was small and intimate, only close family members went, the courthouse still had a cute little set up to take pictures and have the ceremony in
Cons: a lot of family members felt left out, we didn’t have a honeymoon cause hubby worked nights
We just went to the courthouse. We did it in vegas it was small and memorable. I wasnt into planning a big thing and my husband doesnt like the idea of spending a huge amount of money for a wedding so we just did it really quick saved a bunch of money.

I had a small fam wedding my sister had a courthouse wedding if u want it fast i say courthouse and you can save 💰 if you want a magan wedding i say the ⛪ we just did it on a wed nite b4 bible study
My first wedding was at a courthouse. Pros: it was cheap, and quick. Cons: it was not intimate, I resented it years later, very impersonal (as in didn’t get to share with family and friends). And my ex husband was a major piece of shit, so that just adds to the dislike of it all lol!
My husband and I now had our dream farmhouse wedding. Pros: it was a dream come true, it was amazing sharing that with all of our friends and family, our bridal party and events leading to the wedding ( bridal shower, dress shopping, rehearsal) added so much fun to the process, my mother got ordained to married us so it was a very intimate ceremony, we had our closest family/friends stand up, our children got to walk down the aisle with us, just everything was absolutely amazing, we can look back and never wonder “what if”, we will have memories of that day forever. Cons: it was expensive, planning is stressful (but worth it!).
We were married at the courthouse. I liked it because our families didn’t get along that well and I knew it would be hella drama. Sometimes I regret because I wanted to wear the dress and take nice pictures but I’m happy that we were able to use that money towards a dope honeymoon.

I wouldn't change it though. One day we will have a ceremony renewing our vows with family and friends.

Did any of you Mums have really low key weddings? Like no dress or anything like that. Just close friends and family and a nice dinner? I and my fiance want to get married this summer, but I don't want a big wedding, was wondering if any of you had similar weddings and how you liked it :)
