What do you ladies do for your toddlers for Halloween? I plan on taking my son out trick or treating for his first time this year but since he has a strict diet I’m planning on making him his own little basket of stuff ( a few Halloween books, Welch’s fruits snacks and some home made cookies) I’ll probably end up doing this for the remainder of his childhood so he doesn’t feel left out in a sense or as long as he has to be on his diet ( he has a wheat allergy and a dairy sensitivity)

Some homes around me have Teal pumpkins meaning they have an allergy friendly treat. I’ve done this for years. I usually have something like a regular mixed bag of chocolates and then something allergy friendly. Popcorn, or fruit snacks.

We do teal pumpkin at my house too! We have a bucket of Halloween candy, then one with fruit snacks and pop corn, and another with little halloween toys and stickers for kids that can’t have fruit snack or pop corn. It’s important to me because my daughter is tube fed, but shows a huge interest in Halloween. I want to support other kiddos who may also be limited with food.

They got the teal pumpkin and also have candy collecting buckets like they to make people aware 😊

Idk how many people really know or participate in it though? :/ it’s been many many years since I’ve last been out so I wouldn’t even know. But I doubt many people in my area do sadly so that’s why I wanted to just do a special little thing for him myself. If we gave out candy I would be sure to do a allergy friendly bucket! But my dog is to much with constant people at the door so we don’t hand out candy which I miss doing cause I like seeing all the little cuties :)
