@herminia.ayala, no I don’t co parent. I used to until about 4 weeks ago. My ex husband has really bad ptsd and I had to usually just keep him away from the boys.

I’m a single mom of 1 boy. I have been a single mom since I was pregnant. My son’s dad came around for a little while, but just made things more complicated & difficult (a lot to explain). Now he’s been completely out of our lives in every way for a couple years. It’s so much easier in my opinion. I don’t have to deal with visitation or anything, but that leaves me having to answer questions about why my son has no dad anymore & others. I don’t get child support & know that if I tried to, he would ask for (out-of-town) visitation & he’s not trustworthy. I get NO time to myself, which can be frustrating at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think it also helped me to have the time to mentally prepare for being a single mom beforehand — my entire pregnancy. I was only thinking of & planning for a life with just me & my son. There will be judgment, but you just have to ignore the ignorant people. There’s judgment just being a mom period, so that should be nothing new unfortunately.

I’m a single mom! It’s rough but I was pretty much single when I was with their dad. It took some time to get used to it though
