Mirena and paragard are different from one another and are inserted differently. Mirena has hormones where as paragard is hormone free. I’ve had both. Because of how mirena is inserted and I have a small uterus it went through my uterus and ended up in my pelvis. The paragard was much better for me personally. I only had it removed because we wanted to start trying again.
@china_1 well I have the Mirena and it's t-shaped too but there's different brands and I don't remember the color of it but I had it in for about 2 months and after the first month it started hurting me and it moved so whenever I walked sat down it hurts so bad and had to keep it in till was able to get a new doctor cuz I had moved. Also my husband was able to feel it when we had sex and it hurt him too so I only had a bad experience with it. But that's just my experience.
