I'm convinced he's having tantrums. If I won't let him stand up he kicks and pull his hair and cock that head back and scream but he never cry. Good baby just mean as a rattlesnake...its his way or no way.....

@ambrebby2u yupp I'm thinking about getting him a walker type bouncer. It will give him allusion of standing without actually standing and I doubt if his legs even touch the bottom. Lol

@kaylacarese ikr that's how he is he will scream at me literally to get what he want but I DONT let him have all control because I know he's a baby and I'll have to help him some so he don't hurt himself and I try and do other things but he want what he want it soothes him and makes him happy and laugh

It's not manipulation. They have known since day one if they want or need something they cry. And they definitely learned by now if I cry mommy gonna do something to try to get me to stop. Their not stupid. They are at a time were they are learning the most. My baby like to stand to. I just dont let him put his full weight on legs. He hates the swing, boppy, . . . EVERYTHING! LOL

@laniejay thanks hun I don't allow him to put weight on them I'll hold him a certain way to make him think he is standing the only weight he put on them when I'm holding him is when he starts jumping and his legs hit mine

@mommytok thanks and I told the pediatrician she say it's ok for a minute but not to long cause his bones are still hardening and could cause them not be straight if I just h have total control I don't let him stand often I sit him up in my arms and let his legs dangle so he thinks he's standing

A one month old does not understand cause and effect or manipulation, I promise he’s not throwing a tantrum. Definitely would not stand him up. Talk to pedi about the dangers of that. Something like a swing or mamaroo at a slight angle so he can look around is sufficient.

Way too early to have him stand. He shouldn’t bear any weight on his legs it can actually cause issues with spinal development.

@haslberry right that's what I'll do I'll let him do it for about a minute then I'll sit him down he gets upset but I walk and play with him so he can calm down. An with tummy times he scoots and rolls but instead of doing it like on the bed now I just do it skin to skin. He is more advanced and he get irritated when I try and support his head hr Ave totally control over it when tr dr did belly time with him she say she never saw a baby support their head and have such strong muscles like him being so young. I think it's the steroids they gave me pregnant with him to mature his lungs..

@ambrebby2u, I think if you are supporting him well, and don't let him put too much weight on for too long, it's fine to let him stand some, or "bounce" him some to get it out of his system. I'd probably alternate that with tummy time methods (starting with laying him belly to belly with you) to help him build his upper body up.

@haslberry it's to early to let him stand right?? He will literally have a fit I mean gets upset literally if I don't and that's what I end up having let him do but when I do it he starts bouncing and jumping and he thinks it's funny but it scare me cause he so little...

@haslberry it's worse when the older kids be playing it excites him alot. I didn't think he was going to try and be so active this early. I thought it was acid reflux and all. I think he see all the faces and hear all the voices and gets excited. My other kids did not move as quick as Loyal I think it's something in the milk.😂🤣😂🤣😥🤦

@haslberry that's what I thought it was so I got him some gas drops. He insist on standing and thinking he walking or something he loves looking out the window

May also be gassy. He could be trying to reposition for comfort or to move the bubbles through. Usually that's when they are further through digestion, and they need to work out a fart.
