@mom211n11 I think it's over kill on the parties ! Gender reveal and baby showers and wedding season just finished with engagement parties , bridal showers and then the wedding....plus all the birthday parties we also have 😂 ok I'm turning into the cheap ass but with baby coming I'm trying to save 😂😂😂

@mrs.letty.luna that's why I was thinking it was replacing the baby shower so I wanted to ensure I got her something.

I think mom's today are overkill on expecting gifts beyond their first baby. Yes every baby can be celebrated but it should not be mandatory to bring gifts beyond diapers and gift cards after the first baby. Now there are some exceptions: the second or third child (etc) are way more than 5 years apart; the child is a different gender or the guests invited know the family is struggling. I'm sorry but I have seen way too many women take advantage of people just because they were expecting. Leave the expensive gifts to the Grandparents or family members if they are willing. Just my two cents here.

Oh and I have NEVER been to a gender reveal where gifts were requested 😒

Just bring diapers or a nursing top for her

I had a gender reveal and didnt get nothing never heard you were suppose to bring gifts and if you are only diapers and wipes should be ok

I don’t think you’re expected to bring a gift. At least I wouldn’t expect you to. Maybe get a small gift card or a box of diapers if you want to bring something

Don’t spend as much or don’t buy a gift at all. I had a shower for my 3rd just to celebrate- only a couple people brought gifts, but we expected none.
