Y’all I need help.
I bought a mattress off a girl I work with because my cousin is moving in with me.
Well it has a musty smell to it.
I shampooed it a little bit ago with detergent but I don’t think it’s gonna help.
Anything else I could use on it?

Spray it when fabric softener and then put baking soda all over it, if it’s real bad you might wanna do it a few times

Spray the purple Lysol on it! My cousin just moved out of our spare bedroom and the Lysol worked wonders for the entire room!

@evildrporkchop., this mattress was kept in a spare room with boxes and stuff piled on it. I’ll get some tomorrow and try it.

After cleaning it again , you may want to get a mattress cover as well

@brittanystewart304, And if that doesn’t work try spraying it down with water mixed with vinegar and then cover it with baking soda again and let it sit over night and then vacuum it in the morning and then sit outside in the sun until it’s dry, and then do the other side of the mattress the same way, and then spray it with disinfectant before bringing it into the house

Baking soda got dog pee out of your brand new mattress when dog decided to mark it. Called the company they said water and a little dawn, then baking soda, let it dry out on its own, so we put a fan on it and let it dry out for like 3 days. No smell or stain!
