Circumcision destroys over 20,000 nerve endings and 16+ FUNCTIONS. That's like asking a group a parents if it's acceptable to cut off your child's eye lids!

It's there to PROTECT the glans (Head)!

What is America's facination with cutting newborn genitals? If he was born with it don't you think it belongs?

In Europe they haven't had a cut rate of more than 0.02% in over 40 years. It's even banned in certain countries.

That's 40 YEARS where millions of men haven't needed a circumcision. That should be proof enough.

And infections? I'm sorry? Do we not have the technology for antibiotics? We give them to women. Why do men have to undergo surgery?

I was undecided until I held my son in my arms. At that time I decided that he was absolutely not getting circumcised. It just felt wrong. My gut told me not to. Months later I learned more about circumcision and I was really, really glad I didn't go through with it. Fast forward to now, my son is 2.5 and hasn't had any issues with his body. I also have a nephew who is a year old who didn't get circumcised and he hasn't had any issues either. There is a great group on Facebook called your whole baby, if you have more questions you should join it. It is a group that advocates for leaving boys as they were born :) The infections you hear about in uncircumcised male are usually untrue or caused by improper care. Most other countries don't circumcise and their men have no issues. It's your choice but I thought I'd share my experience :)

I don’t agree with strapping anyone down and cutting their genitals against their will. The common circ myths have been debunked. As long as it’s cared for properly the infection rates are almost identical. It’s been studied and proven that it’s extremely painful for babies

My son is and we had no problems with it he wasn’t in much pain at all considering he never cried hardly ever or was a good choice and experience for me

My sons are circumcised and I’ve never in my life regretted it. Healed fast and easy. About 4-6 days.

We had no option to circumcise when our two sons were born one was a premie and the other a head injury during delivery. For those reasons it wasn’t done and their paediatrician simply couldn’t.

Fast forward both my boys now 8 and 4 have had to endure surgery with a urologist to have a circumcision and urethral dilation due to fusion. Both of them have suffered from repeat infections, ballooning, swelling, pain and granulation tissue. This is genetic but not in all cases and we were not aware my husbands father had the same issue as he passed almost 15 years ago and it had never been mentioned.

I’m an L&D nurse and we often have moms that are undecided and all we can do is assure them to go with the best choice for their families ❤️ I don’t know if we would have circumcised at birth even if it was an option but there was absolutely NO question when it became a medical issue for them. Many people think it’s cosmetic but there are some cases where like with our sons it became completely medically necessary.

That being said I believe it would be less traumatizing at birth. My 8 year old son had 40 stitches and could hardly move around or get up for two weeks prior and was able to play outside by weeks 4-6.

I chose not to as well after research & his dad not having it done. Saw no point in it as long as they're taught how to keep it clean.

I have one son and my SO is also circumcised looks much better to me!

I did it with both my boys bc that's all I knew! However, my boys being 6 & 8 now, they are still pulling down the skin and taking care of it like it was never circumcised... My pediatrician wanted to redo both of theirs once they were a little older like around 6 but I never went though with it. 🤷

We had it done, but it was something I left up to my husband because he has a penis and I don’t. (Captain obvious I know). We did some research on it and he opted to have it down with both of them.

I have a 10 year old who has it do e and pregnant with another baby boy who will I believe in your the mom and u have the right to do and make the decision yourself

I chose to not circumcise my boys. As long as you teach them how to take care of it there are no issues. It is a personal decision and a lot of people are shying away from doing it these days. I will urge you to do your own research to see what is best for you personally.

I am a pediatric nurse and assist with circumcisions on a daily basis. The advice we normally give to mothers who are on the fence about it is to do whatever the father is.. if Dad is circumcised then circumcise.. if not.. don’t.

Did it with both of my boys. The hospital did it the day after they were born and took less than a half hour. Both were completely healed in about a week.

I had it done with both my boys. Its just easier in the long run to keep clean and it can help prevent infections later. Neither of them were phased at all. They give a mild pain blocker when they do it.

My son is 11 days old i had him circumcised it took them maybe 10 nins he wasn’t in any pain and it’s healed perfect
