Moms of a second boy( or a second girl )that had hand me downs from previous baby at what point did…

Wash them as you go along with normal laundry tasks. Start with the smaller stuff. You’ll know what you need. I reused everything despite having a boy then girl. Then I passed them down to my cousins.

I started by washing newborn and 0-3 months that are seasonally appropriate. As they start to grow out of them, I pack away the current clothes and replace them with the next size up after washing.

I did what @haslberry did. I’ve got larger sizes in her closet and will get them out as she outgrows the sizes I have out. I do the same thing with my middle daughter. It’s way easier than washing all of the baby stuff at once.

I’m team green so the new baby will be using at least some of big brothers clothes. I packed my sons clothes up as he out grew it. So I just grab up until 6 months and washed and put it away a month ago. I’m glad I did because it didn’t even occur to me that they are going to be born opposite seasons.

If you have the room and the energy, go for it. It won't hurt anything to have it ready early.

@zay_is_mylove, right, I’ve already done it. I don’t think there is a time line. I’d do it sooner then later.

@zay_is_mylove, I apologize for misunderstanding what you were asking. I had her dresser ready to go around 34-35 weeks. But we also had to purchase most of this little ones clothing this summer, as we had thought we saved more infant clothes than we really did. 🤦‍♀️that’s what I get for waiting until then to go through what I had
