Had mine removed by emergency less than two weeks postpartum. It was a breeze and so worth it, literally nothing compares to the pain of an attack 😳 I have no side effects from surgery.

My surgery was a breeze! Still some slight pain though when I eat certain greasy foods bit otherwise I was up and walking and back at work the next day.

I had to get mine taken out before babies, but it was because a gallstone dropped down into my only pancreatic duct (birth defect, I was born with one pancreatic duct instead of two). I legit thought I was dying because of the pain. Having it removed was well worth it to never feel that pain again. However, I ended up with "Dumping Syndrome". Literally everything I ate for a while after it was removed went straight through me. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it did to me. I still have to stay close to a bathroom when we go out because about 1/3 of the time, I'm going to have diarrhea shortly after eating. That part truly sucks... But it may also be made worse due to my other health problems. Not really sure when one ends and another begins 😅

It’s nothing to be worried about. You’ve had a baby that’s something to be scared of. If you have 1 attack you’ll most likely have more and more. And then u can enjoy all the fun foods again. Only down side to not having a gallbladder is the greasy shit goes right through you. So I gotta run to the toilet lol but I’ll take that over painful attacks any day. It also did help me lose weight

Omg yes I did I didn’t get it removed until a yr ago and my son is 3 now. I never had any issues prior to pregnancy and it came suddenly after. Best thing I ever done. The attacks were exhausting me. Definitely do it. I recovered in about a week but you are pretty helpless for that entire week
