@jmedina, it was a cpst who checked them, and they 100% did not tell me to move them down.
The straps do need to still come from at or below once they settle in, not where they are when you put them in. And not all people at the fire station are trained. I'm 100% a CPST would tell you to move them down one.
I have also brought him and the car seat to our local fire department as they some times have people there who set up car seats and make sure all is up to safe, they said it was perfectly safe as it was. They had seen him in it as well, before you ask.
@laniejay, the straps are perfectly fine, the are literally at his shoulders, as I said, the slot below leaves marks on his as it is too tight.
@dalliesmama, facts and safety isn’t an opinion- it isn’t safe that way. You can always email the manufacturer and see if they have should straps you can purchase.
@laniejay, personally, I feel more safe and comfortable where it’s at, we moved it up a slot as it was squeezing down on his shoulders and leaving marks when I had it tightened to where you can not pinch the belt (no slack) I appreciate your concern however, thank you
I’d move it down a slot. It’s still a little above and they do slouch a bit- better to be safe when it’s a close call
Super cute!
Just an FYI- his straps should go down a slot. They should be coming from at or below his shoulders. Got to keep our cuties safe.
It’s pretty pathetic you can’t post a cute picture without people jumping your case or being rude, care for your own kids, mine are cared for. Thank you have a good night
