Met my OB today, He took me off paxil and started me on Zoloft. I’m pretty nervous about it but also don’t want to risk…

Everyone has their own story and history . I’m not knocking anyone . I just said to each their own. I personally don’t like taking medications but I know it helps me. And I rather be okay for my kids then feel awful.

@nsinecki i don't hate myself but i was going to try and be nice and give her some advice on what i use for depression and anxiety until people decided to be smartasses to me and jump all over me for simply stating an opinion. U probably think because i don't believe in anti depressants that I've never experienced depression but all of you are sadly mistaken!!! After what I've been through in the past couple years i've even been suicidal, i was going to try to give her some friendly advice on what's helped me cope but forget it. Apparently you're not allowed to state an opinion on her unless everyone else agrees with you.

@nsinecki, thank you for sticking up for mental health. There will always be people with other opinions. To each their own. I’m gonna do as my doctor says. And I’m trying my hardest to keep a good state of mind.

@nsinecki and i'm the one in the wrong? Did i tell her that her doctor prescribing those to her was wrong?? NO!!!! All i did was say how i felt about anti depressants. Before you argue with me please get your facts straight, i hate ignorance!!!

@wvgirl mental health is a life or death issue and telling someone what there medical doctor prescribed to them is incorrect is similar to telling a cancer patient not to do chemo.

@vicvellas0411 there's other ways to deal with depression and natural remedies rather than pills.

It's different for everyone but I hope it works for you! I started taking it after my son was born (probably should have started at the end of my pregnancy) and it helped a lot.

I completely agree with you. You need to be able to take care of yourself mentally in order to be able to take care if your child. There isn't anything wrong with taking antidepressants and you should never feel ashamed! It just shows you truly do care and want to better yourself 💞

I’ve been on Zoloft and it helped me tremendously. I stopped taking it when I got pregnant bc I didn’t know if I could still take it and I haven’t asked my doctor yet.

@journeyofbabbles, Paxil has helped me in a lot of ways, yet I don’t like the way I feel if I miss a day or two. I instantly feel really bad. BUT if this can make me feel okay too and not be so harsh to my body then I’m all

for it. I wish I didn’t have to take anything and one day hope I don’t have to at all. And some people don’t understand the risk to baby of not being on medication when mentally you feel certain ways.

I took Zoloft (obviously prescribed by my doctor lol) over a year and a half while breastfeeding my son. I hope it helps you!

If Zoloft wasn't safe your doctor wouldn't have put you on it. You can also take it if you are going to Breastfeed.

Zoloft isn't good for you either
