Day 2: My family dynamic

This is the HARDEST thing I’ve ever had to overcome. I am a single mother to a beautiful little girl. She has never met her “dad”. I live with my parents, I stay at home, and I’m a full time student.

I grew up with the same basic plan that most little girls do. Grow up, fall in love 💛, get married 💍, have babies with your hubby 👨👩👧. But that definitely didn’t happen for me.

I got pregnant my 4th year of college, I transferred schools to an online program, moved back home as a single woman, and I still live with my parents. My daughter doesn’t have a dad. I know many people don’t agree with that and in the beginning, I had the hardest time coming to terms with my daughter growing up in a “broken” family.

But here’s the thing, our family is NOT broken. Yes, she has one parent instead of two but you know what?! I LOVE HER ENOUGH FOR BOTH PARENTS. I’m the disciplinarian and the nurturing parent. She will grow up so loved by myself, my parents, my siblings, and her cousins. She has more family than a standard 3 person family. She will always be supported and loved.

WE ARE ENOUGH! And I’m here to tell any of you ladies or gentleman who are struggling with this that YOU ARE ENOUGH. Love your child every single day for the blessing they are and stop worrying about what society believes is “normal”. Your family is perfect the way it is because it is YOURS

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
