So my husband brought up wanting to take paternity leave once baby is born(only 3 months though). I was very ok with it, thinking this is great, I’ll need the help going from 2 to 3 kids plus running a home daycare etc... well he just told me he wants to take it when she is 3-4 months old... wtf, I’ll have a routine set already by then lol. If anything I’ll need help when she’s born and I’m healing.
I swear if he thinks this is going to be “vacation time” for him. He’s got another thing coming.
I find it doesnt really matter when they take it cause either way it will be helpful for the last 2 kids my hubby took one when kaylie was 11 months and for Lexie he took it when she was 4 months and it still helped
I get that we have 3 kids and one with special needs but everything can’t always go how we like lol This time my husband may not even get parental leave, and many places don’t even have that option outside Canada.
@beakymcspence, agree to some degree lol. I mean I’m happy he will be home regardless, however I only get two weeks off from work and our schedule is crazy busy the following three months after birth. So help would be much more appreciated during that time rather than when the kids all the kids activities are done.
I’m still happy he will be home lol.
States and Canada is different for parental leaves
