Need advise in the outdated stair railing here. Pictured to the right is our front door, I'm standing on the landing where the stairs lead down on the left. We've had a baby gate up for quite some time to protect the baby who now will be two soon.

So, question is, what are some options here for a more appealing look by that no one/ nothing can fall through?

Note, the missing rail has always been missing. The width between all the rails is 8". The left side of the stairs is just a high wall.

If it were your house, or hypothetically if you were to buy this house, what kind modern update would you like to see?

I should do a big window like that. The joy of home ownership! Start one project and it expands exponentially!😅

Walmart has this for $15. Just a clear cover. Just providing ideas I have found and think could be good options.

There are a few options you could do. There is the mesh banister protector that can be found on amazon or Home Depot. They have different colors like white, black, etc.

Going off these makeup posts...

Going off these makeup posts... If you were told to completely clear out your makeup bag and were only allowed to keep *3 products* for a more natural/lighter look what would you keep? What are your top three staples? And what are some products you use a lot BUT know it is something you could definitely go without.
