My ex husband is wanting to take the girls to Spain for a few days during the October break to see his parents and brother. Apart from there passports will he need a letter from me to say that I gave him permission to take them?

@mrsmowmow, yes there names are double barrelled but in the likes of school and nursery it’s dads second name that’s used if that makes sense so my name is more of a middle name x

Unless there is a reason they are not safe to go and have an order against them x
No, every parent has a legal right to take there children our of the country for 4 weeks maximum without other parents permission, my stepdaughter lives with us through court order and at the end of every court order it states this at the bottom x
