Who expects to have their children with them at labor and delivery...child care issues ?

@roses702, only immediate family which includes your own children. Most hospitals will allow it. It’s usually 12 and older for nursery tho.

Last birth my daughter was with us the whole time. This time my hospital doesn’t allow children to stay. However my oldest is going to be in the room. I had to get permission.

I had my oldest at my last birth. He was on the other side of the curtain. He wanted to be there and be one of the first people to see his new brother.

My hospital didn’t care who was in there as long as it wasn’t rsv season. My oldest was with me for a bit in delivery and he came to see me in nursery

Was considering my 12 yr old daughter to be with me she'll be 13 in December haven't decided yet

My hospital siblings are allowed with an adult. My 12 year old has asked to be in the room. Don't know about that yet

My husband and son will be there with me during my labor up until I’m pushing, and then my husband will have to take my son out into the waiting area and until our next is here. Hospital rules says our son can’t be in there during pushing.

We are having our son in the room until its time to push and then hes going to go out with his grandma and it's going to be my mom and my SO in there

@angelfoodcake, let him. What a cool experience. My 10 years old wants to be in the room so I’m letting him. My husband thinks it’s weird but I don’t care.
