In my last neighborhood, we had a school just around the corner for kids on the spectrum. They always had a little Halloween program and then a lot of them trick-or-treated the neighborhood after.
We had tons of non-verbal teenagers, or teenagers/ children that were too scared to come to the door but wanted the candy so their parents came up for them.
It was wonderful- everyone deserves to have a great holiday. ❤️
@jennatess One of the many reasons why we should not judge...we just never know someone's situation. We are never home to hand out candy bc we take our own kids out. But when I do give out candy someday, I don't care if you're 100, you're getting some candy! Lol
Cities where I live have taken all the fun out of trick or treating. We have specific times and age limits. Only children under the age of 13 can trick or treat from dusk until 8pm.
@d-lane-knee11 Oh heck no! That's crazy! 😢 Those poor kids are only babies at 13. They are still kids, people need to stop pushing them to grow up too fast! My boy is going to be 12 in February & he better go trick-or-treating with us forever! Lol 😂 My girls are much younger than him so he has the excuse of going along with them. 😁 Let someone say something to him...🤨
