Hypothetical question: if a woman is with an abusive narcissist, she may not realize at first, but once she does, is it now her fault for staying? Furthermore, if she leaves with the baby but then comes back for security, is it at that point, now her fault because she knowingly moved back in with an abusive narcissist, knowing the alternative would probably be more poverty and hardship?

@cherokee it is me😕 there's a saying, we are our own worst critics, and I don't think I would be so hard on say, a friend or sister. But I still can help but feel utterly defeated, and stupid, and like maybe I deserve it for making bad decisions in the first place🤷‍♀️

I wouldn't assign blame... but I'd say she's aware of the disconnect and "choose" to stay, I'd even use the word "choose" really loosely. So it's not her "fault" for staying, she doesn't deserve the abuse just because she stayed or returned.

She def needs to seek counseling, because there are some obvious issues there that she herself may not know exist. If a person feels secure in an abusive relationship, well, that just tell you where their mental state is.

I would say no but she is putting her own life and her child's in danger by staying and/or returning but thats when she needs help the most

With domestic violence counselors they say when a victim leaves they are likely to return a couple times before coming back to a shelter/family member after the abuser has rejected them it's quite sad. Theres a term the used for it , almost explained like a Stockholm syndrome. They say they dont blame the victim cause they've been threw tons of mental abusive for it to get like that they usually need counseling for years.

Rant! My sitter used cottonelle wet wipes on my baby! Now she has huge rash!!! I totally get that my SO forgot to put the wipes in her diaper bag. But she could have told one of us and we could have brought her some or she could have went to the store and I could pay her back. I don't get it. She buys her clothes and toys, takes her places while I'm at work. The store is literally a 5 minute walk from her house. But she decided cottonelle wipes are ok? Ugh. Rant over.

Hi momma's I need some tips or advice my daughter has been acting up alot lately since we moved back to California (it's a long story as to what happened) but she hasn't been listening to either me or her dad but she will listen to other people and she has just done this since we moved back idk if she is doing it more now that she has both of her parents and she thinks she can get away with it or what but I'm asking what should I do? I've tried literally everything. I've told her that it's not ok to hit or bite and not to throw food and I smack her hand lightly and say "no" when she is doing something she isn't supposed to be doing but she still doesn't listen. Feels like she is already in her terrible twos at one years old....

Ladies I need advice. My partner's sister got deported a few years back for something she did and she left her daughter here with my partner's mum who's been raising her. Last month she gave birth and hid it from the family and now she is asking for money saying the dad has walked out on her. My partner's mum has asked everyone to band together and give money to help raise him. I'm in 2 minds and I just want some advice. It's not the child's fault and I feel so sorry for him but at the same time we have our own family. If she has no money now then are we going to have to send her money every month? And if so I don't even trust that it will go solely on her son. I'm so lost I hope I don't come across as a bitch 😔
