Hi ladies anyone else had to claim maternity allowance rather than smp got a letter today from my work saying I don’t qualify as I hadn’t been employed long enough and will have to claim maternity allowance anyone know how long this takes and what I need to send

I sent my maternity allowance info off on the 1st of September, how long does it normally take to hear off them? I'm guessing it's a long time😂

@mrsmowmow, I think I’ve only missed it by a few days as well frustrating I just wish they told me sooner as I get paid next week and start may leave the week after so could end up not getting paid just before Christmas 😭
