Friday night crafting 😊 I really need to get a big craft table to work on my projects, but for now, spread out all over my bed will work. It's messy, but a "controlled chaos."
Since my son was in the NICU and received a g tube in order to be able to come home, I've been lucky enough to do small crafts to help out parents of g tube babies. These are tube connection covers that I make, to keep kids from pulling apart the connector. It's amazing how quickly that results in milk EVERYWHERE (nothing like firsthand experience 😂). My son has now stopped his feeding via tube (though his g tube will stay in "just in case" for several more months), but this project has given me so much peace. I remember how scared I was, how little I knew when he got his tube in. It was such a huge learning curve. And if I'm able to make another NICU mom's experience even a tiny bit smoother, then it's all been worth it. I've teamed up with my son's therapist who sees a lot of babies like my son to create these and get them to families who could use them. So, this is my latest project. 😊
@blueberry6 💕 thank you! I've definitely found it therapeutic to be able to help.
