Hang in there Mama. It won't last forever. I'm 6 months pp and there are good days and bad ones. PPD isn't the end and it doesn't mean we can't have wonderful bonds with our children, we just have to work a bit harder at it. My inbox is open if you need an ear.
@natcasey9 I get that. Meds are a godsend and there will still be days where you take a step back but keep working at it. We went to the children's play area at the mall today and just having a normal conversation with another mom was amazing! Keep getting out and doing things when you can. It keeps you occupied and your brain off of all the thoughts and emotions. And don't be afraid to hand him off for a while if you need to recuperate. My mom is a lifesaver because she takes him for a few hours once a month and gives me some time to myself. Keep trucking and you'll be looking back at this and feeling like an entirely different person.
@natcasey9 you're more than welcome. There isn't a manual for this. I don't think it could accurately describe what we go through as mothers but we take it day by day and move forward. I just wish I had some other way to help other than words over an invisible screen 😂
Hang in there. My baby was the same, even with me breastfeeding. I felt awful because I thought we had such a bond. Now she’s Mama girl all the way. They go through phases. I hope things get better for you soon ❤️
