Anyone else go through a phase of cutting their hair? What prompted you to do the big chop?

I never wanted to do it when it was long so I figured if it was short I would want to do it more and NOPE lmao so it's long again and staying that way

I just did this recently. I cut off about 8 inches. I did it because of all my split and dead ends.

i just cut mine off two weeks ago because of post partum hair loss

@mamabearxx2 Yeah I thought that, after my first my hair got super long ( almost back to it's original length which was pass my butt) but then with my second baby I started to hate my hair and just kept going shorter and shorter. I want to go even shorter all around now. Part to do with how my hair has been during after my second baby but also because I lack the motivation to wait for it to grow back lol @momsrmagical

@carinalana I never had hair loss with my first but I think I'm still having it now, how long does it last?!

@carinalana I cut mine like chin length around 4 or 5 months pregnant and kind of maintained it like that because my hair was falling out and hard to manage this pregnancy.

@wolfnurturer lmao mine was to my butt and I cut it to my shoulders last June and it's finally to my but again. Thank goodness.

@mamabearxx2 I can't stop trimming my hair lol to let it grow to anywhere past my neck lmao. I need self retraint or just a trip to the salon and then no more cutting it lol. I think I need to do something I've never done before and just let it grow and grow lol. idk. My hair just doesn't feel the same after or during my second baby.

@mamabearxx2 i heard it can last up to a year 😩 is it just shedding a little ??

@wolfnurturer i know how you feel !! i did the same thing before i delivered (not because it was falling out) but because it was a lot to maintain also.. but i’ve heard of some people’s shedding during pregnancy &’ afterwards they’re fine. mine didn’t shed during pregnancy i guess that’s why it’s shedding so much now..

@carinalana no it's like two handfulls every day, and that's not even the loose strands every where 😭

@mamabearxx2 SAMEEEEEEEEE !!!!! it so depressing... i literally had a meltdown two weeks ago after seeing all the hair in the drain &’ just cut it.. it sheds now a little but not even close to handfuls anymore.. have you thought about cutting ??

@carinalana 😭 I don't wanna but I think I'm going to get it trimmed and layers added in since they all grew out.

@mamabearxx2 having super dark hair, isn't my friend but it my happen if i can go to a salon.

@carinalana I'm tryng to gain the will power but the texture just isn't as soft as before and my sheading has finally went down to normal. My first pregnancy, my hair was of a goddess lmao then this one just took that all away from me.

@wolfnurturer me either that's why I did under lol and it complements well, only one problem. My hair grows so quick so I have to do my roots often because I have blonde natural lol

@mamabearxx2 it’s going to be beautiful ! you will feel so much better i promise.. it sucks seeing hair go cause that’s our crown you know. but it will look &’ feel so much healthier

@wolfnurturer us moms go through soooooo much we never get a break.. i hope things start to work out for you.. i know it can be very depressing..

My hair has always been long and I mean always. I cut once after having my 3rd and let it grow, not too long ago I needed a change and went pretty drastic so I chopped it all off. I love my short hair but I’m going to let it grow out to see if I want to go long again or chop it back off. I also go between colors a lot too lol
