What age did you get your babies to fall asleep by their self and how did you do it?

I’d love to know this as well!

Absolutely nothing and I tried almost everything.

She slept through around 2 when she was ready.

First daughter slept through within a few months. You can try a warm bath, a good feed, swaddling a massage but honestly it's just how the cookie crumbles imo.

@honeymoonblessing, he’ll sleep through the night except sometimes he’ll wake up but I was wondering when did they start falling asleep by their self

My daughter still won’t go to sleep by herself 😩 it’s so hard working my sons schedule around her sleep schedule because I’m the only one that can put her to sleep

From the start! After I fed my son I would put him down (in bassinet or crib) tired but awake and he would just fall asleep. Its really something you have to start young. Of course there were cranky nights that didn't work but for the most part it did.

@jmedina, he’s four months. I wanna try. He already sleeps by himself and most the time through the night but I just know he’s gonna scream bloody murder after awhile. Plus he only likes to sleep on his belly??

My first two kids I rocked for 18 months. My twins have been going to sleep on their own since they were born, because they were nicu babies and didn’t have a choice.

@mrschanandlerbong95, aww! Maybe when we get home tonight I can try? I just don’t see it working lol

Does he have good head control? My first two were belly sleepers at that age, you just have to make sure there are no loose blankets in the bed just a tight sheet. Maybe do bath, warm pjs, feed and hold until sleepy and then put him down.

@jmedina, oh he’s been holding his head up since day one. But he has very good control now. I have a soft blanket wrapped around his mattress but it’s tight. He won’t sleep long if it’s not on there. I’ll have to try it tonight

It may take time and a few times of him waking up and to soothing him and putting him back down but it's so much easier to do while they are still little.

@taymw11 sorry I didn't read properly. My youngest still wants someone to lay with her which is long because half the time I end up falling asleep too.

@honeymoonblessing, it’s fine! Mine just gets so sleepy at night but takes forever to rock to sleep sometimes so I was wondering when they would do it on their own lol
