Came in to be induced Mon 10/1 at 10:15am. Was given some time to progress with 2 doses of cytotec. Foley catheter inserted about 9 pm. Very painful contractions that literally made me vomit, but it got me to a 5 1/2. Pitocin started at 3am early Tues morning. Was given iv meds for pain and nausea that helped me sleep. Contractions woke me up about 6am. Catheter came out about 10. I was given a 15 min break off the pitocin so I could walk around my room a bit. I had really horrible trapped gas so I got that out and it helped tremendously. Pitocin was upped and I didn't even feel it any more. Just some really mild back contractions. They decided to break my water, but I wanted an epidural beforehand, so got that at 3. Easy peezy. Checked again and at a 6. Bet y'all thought this was a birth story. LMBO. Not just yet. Baby is still baking and she's doing really well. No heart rate issues, my BP and sugar has been perfect. A lot of code blues last night and I've just been praying for other babies and mommies while here. As much as I want to see her, I'm happy that we're well. #nocomplaints #grateful
