If baby don't come at your 40 week mark or the,due date what happens next?

My OB did an US to check on baby’s growth and fluid levels to see if he was safe to go another week.

She scheduled my induction at 40+5 but he came on his own at 40+4

Usually your doctor will schedule you to be induced within the next 10 days of your due date!

@hct291997, I understand! I was in pain at my 40 wk appt with a 9lb baby dropped into my pelvis. I begged her to induce me that Friday. (My appt was on a Wednesday). Up until that point I was willing to go to 41 or 42. But I was never more grateful then when he came on his own. It’s worth the wait. You won’t have to wait forever.

I've tried everything as well. The only thing is that they didn't strip my membranes either but my doctor will tomorrow

@hct291997 😂 i know lol and my baby head is right in my pelvis.. It's been there since my 32 week ultrasound and it was still there for the 36 week ultrasound as well.

I went 41.5 weeks with my firstborn. I ended up being induced.

@hct291997 I was 9 months pregnant in the middle of a Texas summer. I totally get it! But since due dates are not always accurate, it's best to wait unless there's a problem.
