What does a high risk pregnancy mean ladies ?

@luv_2b_amomma when u go ask if you can have a vaginal birth. Hell they gave me options said it's up to me. 2 were vaginal my 4mth old was c section

@momof3dragons, I didn’t even need a csection . Nothing was wrong with my son or me but I think because it was Christmas Eve and the doctors wanted to go home . I’m sorry to hear that . I just hate I can’t have a normal birth . I want to experience it like most moms do .

Just need to be watched more carefully. Maybe have more test and things like that done. I was high risk because i had a stillbirth.

Even tho I’m not pregnant I have 2 miscarriages I’m considered as high risk if I ever get pregnant again

I was high risk due to high blood pressure! And also late care because I lost my medical for a few months in the beginning. Also worked 10hrs 6 days a week a Jeep on the line lol

@itty_bitty, how fast did you get the results ?

@itty_bitty, well at my ultrasound they told me they seen fluid in the baby’s kidneys so they scheduled for me to come back on the 16th to see if it would still be there and if it is they’ll do an amnio to see if there’s anything genetically wrong with the baby.

@luv_2b_amomma, sometimes c sections can make you high risk .

@scidg3, that’s the scary part ! And even more scary that I have no clue which it could be . She didn’t explain anything to me and I left more confused than I came in .

@itty_bitty, I agree with you completely. I was so angry with her and how I was treated . I felt so out of place honestly . Thank god ! I am so happy for you and your son . That is truly a blessing.

@leeoshee, yes I agree but instead she wanted to be smart about it and now I’m freaking out thinking somethings wrong . I had a c-section with my first son but that shouldn’t mean I’m high risk .

@al_lopezzzz2718, will I have to come in more frequently for appointments ? I hate she was beings smart ass and didn’t explain . I don’t even know what they want to monitor closely. It sucks not knowing what’s going on exactly.

@itty_bitty, You got an amnio? How was it...? My doctor told me I might have to get one...

There are lots of different reasons... GD, multiples, issues with mama or baby or both. The list is endless!! @luv_2b_amomma

It could mean different thing , I have s chance of having gestational diabetes so considered high risk ,,, they should have have you clear answer

I think it means you have to be careful and the doc has to monitor you more closely. My sister was high risk because of her Kidneys

@itty_bitty, the obgyn said I am high risk and need to see a high risk doctor and I may have to get induced early. When I asked why she said it’s pretty obvious and said nothing else .
