I always just browse the main feed and respond to whatever, just not often or consistently. I don't even know which people I follow or follow me when I'm responding.

I assume though that a lot of people only interact with their followers because they are more like minded and have a lesser chance of being offended. It seems a lot of people just want to hear themselves talk or fish for likes instead of opening themselves up to different points of views.
