I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically just like you. I did not have any yellowing but, it does kinda look like when a bruise starts to heal. Maybe the dr was a little rough with the scopes and bruised around the incision. If it gets worse or starts oozing I would get it checked out. As for the glue, I’m not sure. I had stitches closing my incisions.

@scruffy.nerf.herder glue for c sections?! My god i was stitched over and over and they left like 3inches of stitch side and tied it off in the middle to avoid over stretching the incision 💀 i would not let them glue a c section or staples. Nope

@jacksmama17 i would go in and see if the glue is supppsed to be falling off already. Sounds like a recipe for infection so soon after. But the yellowing is bruising so i wouldn't worry about it to much.

@cherokee, I think I had stitches and tape for my gallbladder, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t glue. But I’ve heard of glue being used for C-sections (mine was staples 😳)

@cherokee, I only know about the colonoscopy because my parents and in-laws have had several of them, and it seems fairly traumatizing! 😳😆

@jacksmama17, like the other ladies have said, the yellow is bruising from all the tugging and stretching from operating with the tube & camera. I don’t recall glue on mine. I don’t know, I can still see the scars 4 years later.

Just follow your post-op cleaning instructions and you should be good. If it gets hot to the touch, red or inflamed looking, or oozes then you need to contact your doctor right away.

@cherokee, it’s called a laparoscopy I believe. Colonoscopy is the scope up your butt to look at your colon and insides 😆

The yellowing looks like a bruise. Normal after surgery. If it oozes or smells then you have a problem.

The yellowing is just bruising. I had it too. It will fade in a few days
