I really miss being a stay at home mom. I never get to clean my house anymore cause I don't have time. I hardly cook…

@amysbabies that's cool! Lol I hate working but I love the money lol hubby keeps telling me if I want to quit I should. We don't really need the money especially if it's just stressing me out. I think he's just over me being grumpy 24/7 lol

@witchymama, I actually live near you, just down the mountain! :). All of that seems stressful. I think you already know your answer and I think you should go with it. Go back to being a stay at home mom, maybe you can earn some extra money by babysitting a nearby child after things get settled with your newborn (they come to you). Or try an Etsy shop if you’re crafty.

@amysbabies I have no idea my boss is hardly ever there to talk to. Right now where i live we have a thunder storm possibly coming and our roads are closed off when one cloud appears 😑 we had a huge fore recently (the Cranston fire) and when any rain is rumored to come they take gnarly precautions. I had to call off today and it was a hassle. I first left a note the day before at my work explaining they will shut our power down and if the storm is bad i won't have service to call and call off if needed. So I get a call at 6 am from a co worker asking where I was and I said I left a note explaining it all for everyone and my boss. With attitude she told me to call the boss. So I do and leave a voicemail saying I'm gonna try coming in late if I can. If not ill call again and let her know I can't. I tried to call back and I couldn't leave a voicemail cause her inbox was full. She called me back right away and I told her i tried to leave a message and couldn't. With attitude she goes "oh really I don't think it's full but okay" when I had tried to quit the first time I told them right now I was getting hit with stuff over and over and they wanted me to take time off instead. When I came back i told them that I was still dealing with stuff and I'm not super reliable and they said it was fine they'll work around it. Idk what they want me to do. I take extra days when I miss anyways. It's just too much. We have one car right now and a day care that doesn't want to take us anymore and all other ones have waiting lists. I live out of town on a mountain that is either on fire or getting flood warnings lol like I just can't win it's like god is telling me I need to stay home with my kids and stop over working myself lolol

@witchymama, if you are thinking of quitting anyways, why not try and see? Or perhaps there is something you can sign?

@amysbabies My Work Has Asked Me If I Wanted To Do Part time but all my other co workers said they don't do part time. The only time they switch someone to part time they let them go

That’s why I’m going to part time after my maternity leave ends. I’ll work 5 hour days 8-1, and can still keep my benefits. I’m thinking it will be the best of both worlds—- we will see!

@blackfire7887 I tried that. I actually went in to quit and they told me to take a month off and then come back if I'm ready and when I did they asked what hours I wanted and gave me 3 shift options they had and I chose the 6am to 2pm and just the other day I was asking my boss for my schedule copy so i can take it home and it was changed. I honestly feel like they changed it because another girl who worked there longer came back when i did and wanted my shift hours so they gave them to her.

This may be a stupid question, but can't you all your job to give you a set schedule because you have kids and a daycare schedule to follow? Wouldn't they make an exception?

I mainly got a job to build my credit so when we want to go find a house it'll be easier with good credit on us both. Also if I want to buy a new car I need 6 months income from the same place first. I'm honestly about to start looking into those stay at home mom jobs I see. I've seen some moms make decent money with those jobs idk how but they do and I wanna know how!

Exactly how I feel but financially, we need to be a 2 income household 😔 plus my kids play sports and I try to involved with their school as much as possible so it feels there is always something to be done. On top of that if the house is messy it gives anxiety which doesn't help anything 😕

Not to mention my work changes my schedule every month. I used to be Monday-friday 6am-2pm which was better cause I at least got food shopping and stuff done after work. But now i have scattered days through out the week it's not set on the same days and my hours are 11am to 7pm and now i have to find a new day care cause the lady I'm with won't take me for my schedule. She wants a set day and time and wants it to stay the same. She's got other kids that she has she doesn't have time to worry about which days I'm coming and not coming.

@witchymama, that’s because we have the same amount of cleaning to get done and a minuscule amount of time to try to accomplish it in. It’s really hard! I’m the same, always trying to cram it all in on the weekends. My house is kind of a mess a lot of days 🤷‍♀️

@witchymama, I work Monday through Friday. The only time I have time to get shit done is the weekend. And by then I’m too tired. Thankfully I got the floors and shit mopped yesterday. I’m worn out.

@damn.it.red I used to get so much done in the day and now on my days off i can only get half of things done

I’m a stay a home momma to an almost 4 year old and yes their are times when it’s hard financially but we just sometimes have to budget on what we really need. But hey, we gotta do what we gotta do!
