Long post about teeth:
So my son will be 16 months old tomorrow and he had his first dentist appt today. He said his dental hygiene is perfect, but that his use of a pacifier is messing with his bite and to stop ASAP. I think some of this is hereditary since I have a small overbite (never needed braces because my teeth were otherwise straight) and my mother had a big one. But I still don’t want to make things worse. I feel bad because everything I read before said usually if they’re done with the pacifier by the age of 2-4 then their teeth should be fine or at least correct themselves. I don’t think his is too bad yet, but I’m worried it won’t correct and it’s my fault for not taking it sooner. He only really used it for bedtime and car rides too. Any tips to wean him off of it completely now? Anyone else have experience with toddlers whose pacifier use affected their teeth?
@shaina.taylor we would just keep her busy until she was so tired she forgot about it lol. But yes that's a start 👏👏😊😊
@blessedmommy23, that’s really sweet!
@mamabearxx2, that’s good to hear! I’m hoping his does the same. I got him to sleep tonight without one, which wasn’t easy but it’s a start.
My son has officially been off the paci for a year now what helped us is that we took a balloon and tie the pacifier to it we told him that all the babies in heaven needed his pacifier when he asked for it I just tell him we gave it to the babies he no longer asks for it
My daughter's teeth were getting rounded out because of the passy. We cut it off cold turkey at 18 months and her teeth are perfectly fine now
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Hoe many of u mom's have used the Chinese gender predictor and it has been correct? I used it with my daughter it was correct then I looked back at my son n it was correct too so now I'm wondering if it will be correct this time too
WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE MY BABY IS TRYING TO USE MY BOOBS AS A PACIFIER TO...HE EATS WHEN HE IS HUNGRY BUT ITS STARTING TO SEEM LIKE HE WILL GO TO SLEEP ON MY BOOB AND NOT TAKE HIS PACIFIER..HE DOESNT LIKE THE PACIFIER FROM THE HOSPITAL. MAYBE I SHOULD BUY HIM A PACIFIER THATS FOR BREASTFED BABIES..HES GONNA HAVE TO GET ONE FOR WHEN HE IS AT DAYCARE BECAUSE I WONT BE NEAR FOR ATLEAST 5-6 HOURS 😣😣
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Someone ask me today why doesn’t my son use a pacifier honestly he did before, but I took his out a couple of months ago before he turn one because to me I can’t stand to see a child that can walk and still use the pacifier is like okay they are toddler/ kid but they not a baby anymore
We went cold turkey, for us personally it only was 1 crappy day! After that all was great & went back to normal! I hope those results for you too!
