Any other mamas on here have Carpol tunnel from pregnancy? I do and it's getting a lot worse by the day and especially the week . Tomorrow I am 34 weeks. Another month or so of being pregnant i don't think my body can handle getting much worse in the Carpol tunnel department. Also have gd. So baby could definitely be coming earlier than due date.
@angelbrownell26, something like this:

Your local pharmacy or grocery store should have a selection. I tried on a few before deciding which one felt the best on my hand. You’ll want one with a splint that goes from your palm to your forearm.
@angelbrownell26, honestly the brace helps so much, I hardly notice the pain. I also have a special mouse for my laptop and I try to avoid wrist movements that aggravate the nerves. But I can’t open jars or vacuum/sweep for a long time.
@humblewarriormama omg, i can't even imagine how hard that is specially when it doesn't go away for you!
@angelbrownell26, yeah I’ve had it since I was 14. Both wrist, but my right is worse. And it definitely was so much worse while I was pregnant, but it went back to how it normally is after I had my son.
I did you need a brace that’s the only relief I had up until I delivered then it went away
@humblewarriormama awwww, that is so rough. You have Carpol tunnel before pregnancy? I did not, I am hoping that it goose away after I have her.
I have carpal tunnel and it got so much worse when I was pregnant, it was awful. Something that’s really helped me is to wear a wrist brace/splint at night. It helps keep your wrist in good alignment and takes the pressure off of the main nerve affected. It’s recommended at night because a lot of people tend to bend their wrists while asleep, which really can set off the pain.
