My nipples have never been in more pain. I’ve been breast feeding and now it’s getting to the point that when he latches on and starts to suck it kills me and I’m in so much pain. Someone help!!! Any suggestions on what to do?

5dpo Where's my buddies? I've been kinda achy in my pelvis and back today. Also the occasional sharp pain in my groin that feels like round ligament pain. Anyone else feeling anything?

I feel you the pain is awful! Just know that in another week or two it will mark her. Don’t give up you got this mama

Make sure he had a deep latch. Chin pointed towards breast, nose up, belly to belly with you. Use your nipple cream before and after every feeding. It hurts for a while but if youre latching good it will get better really soon. Usually by 3w.

Yes. I know. Try to distract yourself! Good movie or show. Also get some lansinoh gel pads you wear in your bra. They feel so good

All about the latch mostly. Your nipples have to harden up and get used to it. I promise it gets better though. Keep thinking about the amazing milk youre giving to your child and it helps you get by

I was the same way with my daughter. I would cry it was so painful and my nipples were raw. I used nipple cream before and after feeding her and I used nipple guards for a little while until it got better. It took a few weeks to be honest. I tried watching tv to distract myself from the pain. Making sure she latched properly was absolutely key. I hope it gets better for you soon!

Like others have said, focus on the latch. But the reality is that breastfeeding really hurts the first few weeks. Just make it through these few weeks & you’ll be golden. You got this! 💪🏼

@beyond_beautifulx3, I know it does sweetheart. I do promise you that it gets better. Lots of warm showers and compress when you need it. When I first started I literally would have to sit on the couch and grip the arm of the couch as if biting down on a stick for the first couple minutes of feeding. It will get better and of course we all know that breast-feeding is so much better for the baby but also so much cheaper to! You’ve got this! I promise Darling it does get better

Lanolin I believe its called worked wonders for me... And last for a long time!! Find it at Walmart or target its an ointment
