Postpartum bleeding question!
So my baby was transverse then right before I was going back to surgery they found she was head down. So I delivered vaginally but her head was facing into my hip so the doctor had to manipulate her head to face down with her fingers while I pushed. I had a 2nd degree tear. I'm almost 6w PP and my bleeding is out of this world. Maybe even worse than when I first came home. I had stopped bleeding but had a check up with the OB just a few days ago and she did a pap and found a couple of stitches remaining so she cut them. She then said I probably need to wait another 2w before any activities. Well ever since then my bleeding is horrible and I've been cramping like I'm on my period but I'm breastfeeding so I know that suppressing that a bit.
Is this normal??

@haslberry I'm passing small clots. I fill up one of those maxi super pads like the over night ones but it takes awhile to fill not just an hour. I had extremely bad periods before having a baby so this is similar to that type of bleeding but maybe a bit worse since I've never bled while in the shower before and today I was bleeding so much I saw it in the water when I showered (sorry so gross!) So if its still the same Monday then I'll call!

I got my period six weeks PP with both boys. And while breast feeding. So it’s possible it’s you’re period.

That could be your period now. Breastfeeding doesn't always suppress it. Are you passing any clots or filling a pad quickly? If you're concerned it's too much, call your OB and talk to the on call to see if they are concerned. They may want you to go in immediately, set up an appointment in the near future, or it could be expected.

It could still be your period. I got my period 6 weeks out. I was also exclusively breastfeeding.
