I'm confuse cause they say sleeping on your back is bad for the baby. Well why do they lay you flat when they do ultrasounds and when you going into labor or being induced you stay on your back 🤔🤔🤔!!!!!!!
@happymommy3, they always try to keep people on their backs and when you tell the otherwise or question it they always give excuses. Moving around and walking is always best and most women feel less pain when it out distracted and moving around. That’s my plan for my when my next baby comes.. idc what they have to say if the doctor doesn’t come in and give me a legitimate answer I don’t want to hear nothing from anyone. If they keep mentioning the epidural and a lot of people get it and don’t feel like your weak because of getting it and blah blah blah I’m telling them to stfu and to leave me go tell some else that because I don’t need anyone in my hand when I’ll going through a lot.
@xomarylee @ladyblauvelt @spookylyn I mean I understand the ultrasound part but when I was in labor with my first and second they kept me on my back. My second they kept me on my back to the point her oxygen levels drop cause I couldn't breathe but they still kept me on my back. That's why I said I was confused about it. They say it could cause the cord to wrap around the baby neck and I know about cutting blood and stuff off.
Well for an ultrasound it’s the only way to see the baby fully.. they only put you on your side if they can’t get the baby to move for the anatomy scans. And I’ve always heard it’s not recommended to sleep on your back because left side it best .. I’ve never heard it’s not safe or they’ll probably inform and inforce it more at appointments. But for birth I hear it’s not safe to let your body to it natural and to move around and get in the position your most comfortable in which for most move it’s not on their backs. That’s why getting the epidural is not good at all but they always tell you it’s safe... even when a lot of moms have had complications during and after birth. The epidural was made for emergency only and now it’s used worlds wide as “it’s safe, don’t feel ashamed” I felt horrible for getting it because I was weak at the moment and they kept putting things in my head.. I though it was going to be the worst experience so to make them shut up about it I gave in. I still feel horrible about that decision till this day.
@kimberlyades @justlynn @goingbacktobed You're not supposed to sleep that way because for long hours it can be bad for the baby and cut off blood supply and nutrients to the placenta, but when you're in labor you're usually not completely flat and are able to move around a bit and are constantly monitored. For ultrasounds, they only take a short time not very long so it does no harm.
@goingbacktobed See I can't either I sit up to where my head is up but my back a lil flat. I have asthma so laying on my back for so long is not the answer
@kimberlyades it's crazy cause sometimes that's the only way I can get my baby to kick or move.
@taylorsmommy1017 that's what I do I sleep every which way til I get uncomfortable. I toss and turn all night
