Okay guys so im currently going to college for a 4 year degree in biology. But im having a baby in february. Is this the best route to support my daughter. Should i try to get a certification in something so i can get a good paying job wayy quicker and then finish my degree? Ugh idk.
I do think that BS in biology might not serve you well. Have you considered engineering at all?
@amysbabies thank you so much for this response. I didnt think about it like that. I have some support from my family but they dont like him and dont really want to help me if hes in the picture.
@ashley.mcnabb.04, it depends on the kind of support you have at home. If not much, have you thought about becoming a vet tech, work on undergrad online+ some night classes, then vet school? You might get more of a feel for if you want to pursue that career going it about this way. BUT on the other hand, there are a lot of jobs that you need a 4-year degree for. They don’t really care what it’s in, but it’s part of the requirements. You could do your undergrad, get one of those jobs, then pursue vet school. BUT then you want to think about how your priorities will change after baby- will you still be interested in pursuing a full time career? Long nights studying, days working, while someone else cares for your child? It’s totally fine if that’s for you, but it is something to think about 💕. After this baby, I’m going to part time (w benefits thankfully), because for me I realized something had to give- and I am much more at peace after making this decision.
I think you should keep going mama 💪 the end result will be worth the hard work and time spent. It’s better to keep it up then to stop now.
Even if it means roughing it out for a while with a newborn.
Your babe could only be proud of what you’ve accomplished when you get there.
You got this.
@emmaduemarch2019 yeah im not interested in engineering. More health and environment
