It honestly could go both ways! They could be busy or they could get you in, I was scheduled to go in at 8 am and they couldn't get me in until about 2:30 the next day

It honestly all depends on the births that day or if there's emergency c-sections. Mines not an emergency I just can't control my sugars anymore on my own and their not gunna give me insulin for 4 days. Glad I saw a different doctor today he said your far enough along we need a plan and lets get him out well everytging looks good and doesn't start going down hill bc of the sugars

Yeah, usually they will have you call you then and give you details. Sometimes they will say ok come in, or it could be try back in a couple of hours, or even try back tomorrow morning.

It’s pretty common they tell you to call ahead and you get bumped, unless it’s an emergency. I was scheduled to be induced 10/28 with my last due to gestational diabetes- medicine was even having trouble- I ended up not going in until about 10pm on 10/30.

@jenny955 see I think they would have you scheduled and it would be priority. UNLESS the rooms were all filled up, then they would pretty much have to reschedule you. Good luck either way!

It can go either way. They go by priority (which sounds snotty when I type it but I promise I don't mean it that way). Emergencies come first, along with people who are already in labor and are in a room. If your induction isn't medically necessary, they will reschedule.

When I got induced they were sending people home because they were so busy! Hubby and I had to wait 3 hours for a room I was so scared they were gonna send us home too, but they made me priority because I was so late it was considered an emergency for baby. We watched them send 4 or 5 people home. They were not happy.

Yes they can be too busy. If you’re scheduled for an induction but too many moms show up in spontaneous labor you could have to reschedule in a few days. It depends on how many rooms are available.

2 out of three of my inductions were rescheduled because they were busy and no beds available, the first one was moved two days after and the second was the next day
