Just curious for when we start potty training...if you use the prizes/candy for potty training, how to you get your toddler to not expect it every single time after they’re fully potty trained??

It’s a tough question to answer in my opinion, because every kid is different and will show signs of readiness at different times. With my oldest, she was about 2 1/2 years old when I stared. She was a tough cookie to train but I didn’t want to be changing her diapers anymore.

At the same time I had an 18 month old who saw her big sister go potty In The big toilet and wanted to do it as well. So I basically trained them both at the same time.

My method was just no more diapers and big girl undies from then on. Lots of messes to clean and patience. I tried a few different methods of rewards like sticker charts and small treats but what my kids really enjoyed were popsicles. Just the otter pops and I would cut them in half.

Good luck! 👍🏼

I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
