Does anyone really use those teething necklaces, like that mommy wears and baby chews on.... I am genuinely curious but…

Does anyone really use those teething necklaces, like that mommy wears and baby chews on.... I am genuinely curious but I personally would never do that, and get my baby used to pulling on/chewing on everything. Seems like you could never wear nice jewelry again. I try to get my son NOT to touch my necklace and definitely not chew on it? He can hold it in his hand but not pull or chew.
