What are your opinions on them actually sentencing Bill Cosby to serve jail time?

@wvgirl this is my last response on this. You clearly have your mind made up and object to the conviction. He drugged and raped these women and the jury found him guilty. You have no choice but to accept what the jury and judge has decided. Luckily you weren't either and can't decipher what "substantial" is or isn't. Your law enforcement background (whatever that may be) isn't the final word. I hope you never have to experience what these women have.

@tatsandcats i still believe though that with those women's ages and his age and the fact that their accusations happened 20+ years ago, they should have come forward a lot sooner.

@i_accidentally not one time did i say i disagreed with the conviction, i just agree that there wasn't any sense in sentencing him to anymore then 3-10 years because to him that is a life sentence.

@wvgirl, so you should know there is no need to judge someone for not speaking up.

@tatsandcats i wasn't molested but i was sexually assaulted and touched and forced to touch someone else one time. I didn't call the cops because there wasn't any witnesses or proof but i took matters in to my own hands.

@wvgirl, lol. No you don’t always call the cops. I didn’t tell about any of my attacks to family until like 10 years later. A lot of factors go into telling. Most likely you won’t be believed or there will be no evidence and nothing they can do. If I could get my attackers put on prison for coming out to the police right now 14 years later I wouldn’t hesitate. But at the time I wouldn’t have.

@i_accidentally yes i do and i know that even a jury usually can't even convict a person with substantial evidence so i'm surprised the trial wasn't dismissed due to a technicality but i'm sure there will be an appeal soon.

That's how the judicial system works. Evidence and testimony is brought forth to a jury and a jury of your peers decides your fate. It's not a court of YOUR opinion, they have guidelines they have to follow.

@wvgirl yet he was tried and convicted in a court of law with said evidence. I'm not understanding. Are you a lawyer?

@i_accidentally there wasn't substantial evidence to convict him

What😂.. there was evidence... including a recorded conversation that his attorneys are trying to use in their appeal. It sounds like you don't know much about this. Do your research and then come back.

@wvgirl corroboration.. emails.. texts.... recorded conversations. There's more to evidence then just physical. Clearly they had that in this case
