Hi, I'm Nikki and a week ago I found out I was pregnant with my first ever child. It was planned, but we didn't expect to get pregnant first try.
I'm from the UK but live in Germany with my Dutch husband to be. I'm miles away from friends and family and I've got so many thing going through my head right now, I can't help but feel I need someone to talk to. that's why I'm here.
I'm nervous, curious, excited and anxious, but I'm ready to be a mum.
I'm hoping to find some like minded pregnant ladies or experienced mum's to talk to that might be able to calm my mind with answers to my questions. or just someone to have a good chat to as I can't help but feel lonely in all this baby craziness #myfirstpost
@dippynikki you have some months ...around 9 to learn it;)
@ksenijaaa.n yeh we will be giving birth in Germany. Neither of us speak German either. So we're interested to see how that one turns out
You see. From the first try;) for us it took around two years.
@dippynikki, yes I have one baby, she is 3 weeks old now :) giving birth was a traumatic but wonderful experience 🙊 it was long but the outcome is amazing and you immediately forget all the pain! Will you be giving birth in Germany? Me and my husband don’t speak german, so all labour process was in English and it was... interesting! 🙈😀
Hi Nikki, congrats and stay positive) remember, the German health care is much better than NHS 😉
@ksenijaaa.n thank you :) it's always good to know there's friendly people in the same situation. So you've had 1 child so far? Did birth put you off having more at all? I would like 2 kids but I'm worried birth will scare me off
Hi Nikki! First of all, huge congratulations it’s a true blessing! I just recently gave birth to a little princess myself and remember well the preggo anxiety 🙈 I am happy to help with any questions you may have!
I am from Latvia, but before moving to Germany I lived in UK for many years. :)
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
I'm 32 weeks Pregnant And Every time I Get Up Or Lay Down Its Pain And Cramping I Can't Lift My Leg When I Walk It Crams When I Try To Switch From Side To Side Y Laying Down It Hurts Then I Feel Little Cramps In My Back From Time To Time Can Someone Help Me Please!!!!
I’m 19 and pregnant and I don’t know anything about being pregnant and all that stuff. Someone please help.
so I need some advice, I'm currently pregnant from a man who is married with a ten year old. he says he married her because they were young and how he was raised that if you get someone pregnant you have to buckle down and be a man. now that I'm pregnant he says my child has to be a secret. no family from his side and none from myself because I have no family. I feel like my child is coming into this world like a burden from him. and I have no respect from my kids father . even worse he sleep...
the nausea has passed and now my tummy just feels weird! can't explain it!!! wish someone was up to talk to!!!
@komaroli I'm glad I have so many people with experience to help share wisdom too
